The question I posed is what to do until we sort out what to do?

I don't like the idea of having the list down over the holidays - the holidays can be a strain and having the list has been a comfort in years past. So I have an idea.

We still have access to the D_S archives - if you've been receiving email there is a D_S website:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Dialysis_Support/
Once you are logged into Yahoo you can read any message back to when D_S switched to Yahoo in August 1999. The monthly message history chart near the bottom of the front page. To read a messages from a particular month - click on the number for that month (if you weren't already a D_S member you wont be able to do this).

You can also search messages by topic or jump to a message by number. Go to the most recent list of messages by clicking the word "messages" or "view all". Once you are on the page displaying the most recent posts there are search boxes to enter a words or phrase. If you enter 55669 you'll be taken back to 12/1/06 and the first post of the month which was by Dale concerning a funny taste in ones mouth:

"Taste and smell disorders are usually manifested
from certain medications used to treat high blood
pressure as well as changes in blood pH, thus for
dialyzor's, uremic toxicity results in a change
in pH and might be considered as a root cause of
taste or smell disorder."

If anyone on D_S writes longer sentences I don't know who it would be (unless it's me) but it all hangs together and is undoubtedly fully researched.

Let's see your favorite posts - by Dale (who can find the longest Dale sentence?) or anyone or favorite threads. While we sort this out I suggest using the archives.
