Hello,
I am a 40 year old female in Ga and if I live to see Feb 26th I will have 17 years with my transplanted kidney. I am married (17 years) and no children.

The early years after the transplant were pretty good. I have sense gained weight and having issues dealing with the difficulties associated with that. However, I still consider myself to be blessed and free from dialysis constraints.

Points:
Understand how to read your lab reports
Take your meds as specified
Never take ANYTHING without checking with your Renal doctor first (Major)
Avoid continuous exposure to large crowds of people – spread of germs
Remain active and stay away from sodium and high amounts of Protein
