Question dizziness?

I am only stage 2 CKD but I am noticing the last week or so I get VERY dizzy and off balance ALOT! blood pressure is normally low anyway I have tried to write down when it happens but its at different times of the day, if i ate or didnt eat, I am not sure what is causing it. Should I call my doctor? I feel like I worry too much so I wanted to see if anyone can help me so I dont look like a fool. thanks!!

Dizziness can have a lot of different causes, and may not have anything at all to do with your CKD, especially at stage 2. I would call your doctor if this is something new for you, and please don't assume (or suggest) that it has to do with your blood pressure, or that might put the idea into his or her head and make it harder for you to get to the right answer.

There is a condition called benign positional vertigo (BPG), for example, that is quite common and arises pretty much out of nowhere--you just wake up one morning, sit up in bed, and the room spins. It's an inner ear thing and has nothing to do with blood pressure or kidneys...

When you complain of dizziness to your doctor, it's really important to be very clear about exactly what you're feeling. Here's a site from the Mayo Clinic that may help: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/dizziness/DS00435.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.
