CKD Diagnosis Methods (please respond)

I have a few questions about YOUR experience regarding CKD diagnosis:

1. How long did it take you (or a loved one) to be definitively diagnosed with CKD?

2. Did the extended duration of diagnosis methods adversely affect (the person suffering from CKD)?

3. How valuable, in your opinion, would a testing method able to definitively diagnosis CKD with one blood test? I am not looking for a monetary answer, simply your feelings on a potential method to identify the disease quick and painlessly?
