| Tony Crowder | Posted At 14:34:31 03/07/2002 My name is Tony in va,i have been dialysis for about a year know. Im just learning the ins and outs of some benefits available 2 renal patients. I was unaware of the social sercurity benefits that i luckly now have.I am no longer employeed due 2 the washed out feeling i have after treatment,i feel like a dishrag afterwards.i do get a monthly check of around $700 dollars,whick i barley am able 2 make ends meet,i had 2 move home with my parents at age 39 ,kinda hard 2 swallow,my question is are there any programs available in housing or apartment living that would assist in helping me afford these living expenses.Any response would b greatly appreciated,Thanks and happy dialysising 2 every one here,and 2 the new comers it gets better and not as bad as it seems just hang in there your life is precious live and enjoy its not over yet. |

Read about special programs for people with disabilities at www.hud.gov/groups/disabilities.cfm. For information on buying a home, see www.hud.gov/buying/index.cfm. On this page, you'll find information about how much most lenders will allow you to borrow as a percentage of your income and calculators that help you decide how much you can afford and whether it is better to buy or rent based on your income. Your community probably has a HUD-approved housing counseling agency that can answer many, if not all, of your questions. See www.hud.gov/offices/hsg/sfh/reo/homes.cfm for a listing by state. |
